Es ist uns scheinbar sehr wichtig, unsere Situationen selbst zu wählen. Oft reicht es schon die Illusion dessen zu haben. Eine Herausforderung, deren Verlauf unabsehbare Formen annimmt, kann daher zu einem Problem werden.
Wir sehen die Dinge hierbei aus zwei verschiedenen Perspektiven. Bei einer Herausforderung betrachten wir die Situation als Außenstehender. Frei von Angst und als Herr der Lage. Bei Problemen sind wir jedoch automatisch in der Rolle des Opfers. Voller Angst und bereits involviert in das Ereignis, beginnen wir Entscheidungen zu treffen. Wir versuchen mit allen Mitteln die Situation in den Griff zu bekommen.
